Christmas baubles

A weekend in winter

Wet and cold outside, cosy and warm inside. The scent of cinnamon, cocoa and marzipan is in the air – the pre-Christmas season smells so good! Let’s get the dough rolling and bake some fine biscuits. And the Christmassy Becks cocoa™

cocoas provide that special something in the bakery – lovingly worked into the biscuit dough or sipped on the side while the oven completes your magic works. Merry Christmas, dear cocoa friends!

For 45 pieces – preparation time approx. 30 min – cooling time 30 min – baking time 18 min

  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp Becks cocoa™ A Chockwork Orange
  • 175 g cold butter
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar

1) Mix chocolate with flour, almonds, icing sugar and 1 tbsp Becks cocoa™.
Quickly knead into a smooth dough with the butter and cream. Form two rolls, wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes.

2) Preheat oven to 175° C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut each dough roll into approx. 22 slices and shape into walnut-sized balls. Place on the prepared baking tray.

3) Bake the chocolate balls for 15 – 18 minutes on the middle shelf. Meanwhile, mix the sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 tbsp Becks cocoa™. Roll the chocolate balls in it while still warm and leave to cool on a wire rack.
